With the Marley Medical portal closing, how can I view my medical device readings?

After the Marley Medical portal closes on Sunday, October 27, you will be able to view all of your past and new medical device readings in the Starlight Portal.

To access your readings, please download the Starlight Portal app from the App Store or Google Play Store and log in using the same email you’ve been using for the Marley Medical portal.

So, Marley Medical isn’t closing after all?

Correct! We have partnered with Starlight to ensure you continue to receive the high-quality care you expect. It’s the same clinic, now managed under Starlight, with the same commitment to supporting your health every step of the way.

Will my care team change?

Your care team will stay partly the same. Kristina Bartelt, one of Marley Medical’s trusted providers, will remain on your team. In addition, you’ll now have support from a dedicated health coach who will work with you to reach your health goals, provide personalized guidance, and make managing your health easier. This means even more support to help you feel your best!

Will I still use the same medical devices?

Yes, you will keep using the same medical devices you have now to track your health, like your blood pressure monitor or glucose meter. Your devices will still send your health readings to your care team, just like before. There won't be any changes to how your device data is collected or shared.

What will happen to my prescriptions?

While your provider will still track your biometrics, review your medication, and provide detailed feedback and education on your medication, they will no longer prescribe new medication or change prescriptions. Instead, they will send a summary to your primary care provider or specialist physician, who will manage your prescriptions.

What is a health coach, and how will it help me?

A health coach is a new member of your care team who you can meet with regularly, more frequently than your doctor or other providers.

When working with a health coach, you decide what you want from the process. Your coach will help you to identify goals that align with your own values, your own personal strengths, and your own preferences. Your coach will be your guide as you learn about your own health and monitor your own behavior.

This can feel different from other medical providers. Your coach is not here to diagnose your problems or tell you how to fix them. They are not experts in your specific health conditions.

Coaches are experts, however, in helping you learn about your health conditions. They can provide articles for you to read, recipes for you to try, and techniques to help you notice the way your body reacts to your lifestyle choices on a day-to-day basis.

Coaching is a process through which you will improve your own health, one step at a time. Your coach is a trained professional who helps you to solve the problems that arise on that journey, as well as cope with the difficulties.

Costs

How much will this cost?

Just like Marley Medical, Starlight will bill your insurance for services, like telehealth visits and remote patient monitoring (RPM). Any co-pays or co-insurance will stay the same.

If you are paying through subscription, you will be offered new cash pay rates: $49/month covers unlimited usage and all devices, with an additional $15/box for diabetic testing supplies (50 strips/lancets).

What about any previous bills from Marley Medical?

To simplify the transition, any outstanding bills from Marley Medical’s previous management will be cleared. You will only be responsible for new charges going forward.

Medical Records

How do I get access to my health information?

Your medical records are confidential and will remain so even after you have left the practice.

If you would like us to send your medical records to another healthcare provider, please let us know their name and fax number by emailing us at support@hellostarlight.com. We will then electronically fax your records to their office.
